Charlie joined Commerce Bank in September 2013 as result of its merger with Summit Bancshares. He formed the bank’s first ever Energy Division in September 2015 covering Commerce Bank’s markets in Oklahoma, Colorado, Texas, and Kansas. His banking career began in 1999 with Bank of Oklahoma. Charlie has been serving middle market clients in the upstream and midstream energy space since 2003 with expertise in reserved based loans for drilling, acquisitions, and general working capital. Charlie received his MBA in Finance in 2000 and a B.S. in Accounting from Oral Roberts University in 1998, with various continuing education courses in petroleum engineering, geology, and land management. Charlie has been a Wildcatter Member of the OIPA since 2008. He has also been co-chairman of the Make A Wish Foundation, Prevent Blindness Oklahoma, and the Tulsa and OKC Chamber Resource Campaigns. He currently resides in Edmond, OK with his wife and three children.
